Emergency Closure Policy

When the Kent schools close due to bad weather, Montessori Plus School will also close. If the Kent school have a delayed start time, Montessori Plus will start at the regularly scheduled time. On the other hand, should the staff decide to close the school during inclement weather when the public schools do remain in session, it is the responsibility of the teachers to try to notify each family and to post an announcement on the gate. Listen to the radio and television for confirmation of school closure. Montessori Plus School will not have make-up days for dismissal of classes due to inclement weather. Class will only be canceled to assure the safety of the children.
