Sharlet McClurkin, director of Montessori Plus Schools since 1971 and president of the board of directors of Montessori Plus School/Teacher Preparation of WA, Inc. directs the Seattle and international teacher training programs.  Mrs. McClurkin received a B.A. from Sterling College in 1959, an M.A. from Florida State University in American History in 1963 and a Montessori teaching certificate
(2 1/2 - 6 years) from Montessori Institute of America in Kansas City in 1972.  In 1997-98 Sharlet took the AMS Birth-Three course in Seattle, WA. She has been director of Montessori Teacher Preparation of WA since 1973.

Donald McClurkin, assistant director and administrator, received his MIA certificates in 1982 (Level 2 1/2 - 6 years) and 1992 (Level 6-9 years).  Mr. McClurkin took the AMS 6-9 training in 1984. He holds a B.S. in Science from Pepperdine University, a B.D. from Reformed Presbyterian Seminary and a M.Th. from Columbia Theological Seminary.  He is also a certified PET, TET, and LET instructor.
